It's
been awhile but I've been swamped with work and a random and spontaneous road
trip to Nashville! I've been meaning to upload pics and a video
from my shark dive but I need a Mac computer for that. I will try to do that
ASAP.
For
now I will upload the pictures from my first surfing lesson! I must say, I felt
more scared about surfing than I did being face-to-face with sharks. Strange, I
know!
On
my last day in the lovely island of Oahu, I signed up for surfing at the hotel
I stayed at. The lessons are in groups but since I was the only one who signed
up for it that morning, I had a private lesson for half the price of it! I was
excited and scared at the same time because I could Blue Crush it out or wipe-out.
After
a couple wipe-outs I was able to finally balance! I was so happy I was able to
go with the wave that I kept smiling and unfortunately there’s proof!
In
the movie Blue Crush, the surfers made it look so easy to surf and especially
catch the wave, it’s not! Maybe because I can’t lift more than a 10 lbs
dumbbell, to catch the wave was tiring. I had to move my arms so fast at one
point I just wanted to lay on the board. I was so tired!! I didn't think I
could finish the whole hour but I did- yay!
I had so much fun and my instructor was definitely patient and encouraging. The following day and that week my arms were SO SORE! Honestly, I can see how ALL the surfers are in great shape, it's a workout! Oh how I miss Hawaii!
Thanks for reading. I will soon post about the shark diving, promise!
Till then,

OMG I love that you got a private lesson with that surfing instructor ahhhh LOL!
