Road trip to Nashville!

Howdy! I had a last minute day off from work a couple weeks ago which summed up to be 3 days! I called my best friend up and told her I had a crazy idea- "let's go to Nashville!" Unfortunately, she was waiting for a very important call for a job opportunity so we left it at that.

This picture is at the Honky-Tonks bar.

I woke up rather late the following day, but I woke up to missed calls and texts from her saying "let's go to Nashville!" We got the show on the road around 4pm and I must say, the ride was very long! Nonetheless, the view there was amazing!

After watching a few episodes of ABC's new hit show Nashville, I can see why it's the Las Vegas of the south. Everyone there are so nice and have a passion for country music! Without a doubt we saw cowboy/girl boots, hats, and the plaid shirts.  I used to listen to country music in the 90's when Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw, and of course who can forget the great Johnny Cash (not from the 90's but you know what I mean). These were the big artists that were on the radio ALL THE TIME and I loved it!

I'm so glad we had beautiful weather while in Nashville. It was in the low 90's, no wind, and no clouds in the sky. After walking for hours we started to get "hangry" (combination of hungry and angry), haha. The tourist map made it seem attractions were a couple blocks away, but it was a few blocks x's 10.

One of the attractions we went to was the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It was so awesome to see how the country music genre has changed over the years.

The legends!! My favorite song of Johnny Cash is "Ring of Fire" and every song of Elvis is my favorite, seriously they are!

We also walked and took a free bus trip to starving country artists wish to make it big. The whole street are full of recording studios and pictures of their singers. The first one on the block is Sony and I can't imagine how many artists step foot on this block hoping to make it big. Best of luck to them!!

""Uh-huh"

The famous Ryman Auditorium where Johhny Cash Show took place and numerous performances.

I had so much fun in Nashville and hopefully next time I'll be able to go visit the Grand Ole Opry and Bluebird Cafe. I also heard in Germantown, there's a cupcake store that has THE BEST cupcakes! I will have to give them a try too.
