Kentucky - Roadtrip pt 2

After two amazing days and experiencing the nightlife in Nashville, we had to head back home to Chicago. On the way back, we made two stops in Kentucky 1. Krispy Kremes in Louisville and 2. Mammoth Cave National Park.

We simply couldn't drive straight home from Nashville with all the fun we had, we wanted to continue with the adventures. Stopping at Mammoth Cave was a spur of the moment, moment. We saw a sign and decided to turn in and check it out. I definitely did not regret it! It's amazing such beauty we have in this country both on ground and underground.

We purchased the self-guided tour and it was perfect for being on "stopping by" time. They also offer guided tours and also some that will guide you further into the darker caves were the self-guided cannot go.

As soon as we started to walk down the stairs into the caves, we felt the cold breeze and I had nothing but a thin tank and shorts.. such a fail! Next time for sure I will have to remember when going into caves, BRING A SWEATER! But overall, the tour was very interesting and fun for all ages.

Overall, Kentucky seemed like a very friendly state and I hope to come back!
