Am I in Berlin or Australia?

Berlin- capital of Germany. Who doesn't love Berlin? The city is filled with rich history and different types of
I went to Berlin for the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis concert and had to take advantage of sightseeing that had to be done.

I was in Berlin last year but mainly stayed on the west side. This time around I stayed with Swedish friend in the east side in a hostel. We stayed at the Circus Hostel (recommend!!) and it was so much fun! It's such a hip and chill place in the middle of the all the history and art works in the making. Also, half of the population of Australia are there too! Haha, I met so  many Australians within 3 days - so much fun! They definitely know how to live life and travel the world and have a good time.

The east side is well known for the artworks displaced throughout the city. Many artists start drawing on the walls here and years later they're internationally known.

I did a tour of the arts displaced throughout the east side, it's amazing how one person can finish such a detailed and big canvas in as little as 3 days. Graffiti is everywhere and it's encouraged, it's what the east side is about. Houses, buildings, doors, walls, light posts, almost anything has something. They say when all the shops close, it's awesome to see all the graffiti done on their doors. The streets are an art exhibition itself.

The last day I went to the west side, how could you not? The west side has such a big impression on me that sometimes I can't believe such a country could go through something like it did. Germany has fallen a couple of times, but it always gets back up, that's something I admire most of Germany.

This particular statue below is displayed in areas of great significance. I took this picture where the Nazis demolished the church.

Without a doubt Berlin is a great city and I wish to come back soon to visit other sites as well.

Tschüss,

Lesley Ann
