One Monday morning I went with a friend to Stadt Park, a really, really big park in Hamburg. Although there is another park, Planten un Blomen, which I will write about later, I find this one to be the most active park yet. It's so big that they have large parts of the park divided into zones, kids play, grill zone, fishing zone, and everything is walkable and runable. It's such a beauty to see.
Without a doubt, it's great ground space to go for a run. I randomly found this park when I went on a run on a Sunday morning and ended up at the park. I started to jog inside of the woods and since I didn't know where exactly I was, I had to turn back. My phone was low on battery and if I was really lost, I would need my GPS to go back. At this point in my German, we hadn't learned how to give or take directions. But now, ask me where anything is and I will tell you auf Deutsch :)
Stadt Park also has a planetarium in the middle of the park which is really great for everyone of all ages. We walked inside to check out and watched a little sneak peak of a video of space and galaxies. Inside, they have Stella, the space cow-stronaut, isn't she a cutie?

I was such a fan of astronomy in high school that I remember wanting to be an astronomer and wanting to go to school at University of Hawaii at Manoa. It's funny how one changes over time. I still have a fascination with space and the unknown but I'll leave that to star gazing in the summer nights.
I wish the pictures could really capture the beauty of the park. If you're a park go-er and in Hamburg, I would recommend running around Stadt Park or to blow off some steam.
